Wedding Photography

All Packages Include:

A free consultation – This is an opportunity for us to meet, to have an informal chat and view some of the images taken by myself at previous weddings. At this meeting, feel free to ask any questions regarding photography on your big day.

An optional and free “engagement” photo-shoot – This is a great opportunity for you and your partner to grow used to the camera, and for you to learn how to be relaxed when having your photograph taken. It is also a chance for us to build up a rapport, and for you to preview my style of photography ahead of your big day. We can go to a location of your choice, perhaps somewhere that is important to you as a couple and take some relaxed and informal photographs to celebrate your upcoming wedding. The dress code for these photo-shoots is usually casual, and popular locations include local parks, beaches and lakes.

A preview of your images – after your big day and your fabulous honeymoon, we will arrange to meet again for a preview of your images. During this preview you are free to ask for any changes to the images, such as different music on the Slideshow, certain photos in black and white, photos to be modified and generally anything you want changed.

Images to be proud of – Each wedding package includes a CD filled with un-watermarked, high-resolution shots (100+ photos) and a DVD Slideshow customised with music. The photo CD gives you a choice that most other wedding photographers do not allow – the choice to arrange your own prints. I believe in the freedom of choice, and with the photo CD provided you can choose to print images at retail outlets such as Jessops, Boots, Tesco and many more outlets. The DVD Slideshow is perfect for sharing with friends and family. Simply pop the DVD into any DVD player and view your images in a slideshow accompanied by music and scene selection. Perfect for re-living your day! The CD and DVD Slideshow will come in a presentable format, ready for showing off to friends and family, and extra copies can be made for you at £20 per CD and DVD Slideshow set.

Kirsty Legg Photography can also arrange a variety of albums for you. Many couples also receive wedding albums as gifts from guests, therefore I tend to think about albums after the big day and after you have seen your images. Albums are arranged at extra cost; please feel free to bring up the subject of albums during our consultation. Websites and images prepared for web usage can also be arranged.

Half-Day Coverage – Coverage from the arrival of the Bride at the chosen ceremony venue until the First Dance/Cake-Cutting section of the evening reception and everything in between! This usually consists of 6-8 hours of photographic coverage, capturing every aspect of the day. A Guide to choosing your Wedding Photographer

When it is time to choose your wedding photographer, where do you start? How do you ensure that you have made the right decision? Remember, you are placing your trust in this person to capture one of the biggest days of your life – when the day has come and gone, you are relying upon the talent of your photographer to provide you with an excellent representation of the day and preserve those memories. Here is a short guide to helping you choose a wedding photographer.

View the photographers work – This may seem like an obvious starting point, however a surprising number of people do not fully investigate the work of the photographer, relying on the price of their services to be an indication of their quality. A website is a good place to start, but it is also a good idea to ask the photographer in question for a demo CD or DVD showing images they have personally taken. Be sure to ask for a demo of a full wedding, rather than a selection of the best images from a large number of different weddings.

What “style” of photography do they provide? – Would you like your wedding photography to be classically formal or strictly as-it-happens reportage-style? A mix of both in the right places is normally a good option, just make sure your photographer has the ability to deliver your preferred style.

Have you met your photographer? – Meeting your photographer in person will enable you to learn much about them. It is not only important for you to feel at ease with their abilities in terms of photography, but to make sure you feel comfortable in their presence and confident in their ability to mix well with guests.

Does your photographer have good feedback? – Do not be afraid to ask your photographer for testimonials from previous clients. While a list of qualifications from a professional photographic body is a bonus and a testament to the photographers’ abilities, a good testimonial from a previous client can be a great comfort. You can even ask the photographer for an e-mail address or contact number for a previous client, allowing you to ask them if they were happy with their services.

Is your photographer well-prepared? – We always hope that nothing will go wrong on your big day, however it is a good idea to find out just how well your photographer is prepared for any problems. If the weather is not favourable and your ceremony will be conducted inside, does your photographer have equipment to deal with low light? Does your photographer have back-up to cover equipment failure that may occur on the day? Your photographer must be prepared for eventualities, and know how to adapt when things don’t go to plan.
